Our History:

Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo was founded in Madrid in 1994. Due to the excellent work of its attorneys the Firm has come to be regarded as one of the most prestigious firms in Spain. The Firm is considered to excel in all legal areas, yet the Firm is considered to outstand not only nationally but also in the international arena in specific fields. This position has been earned and retained through the hard work and incorporation of good lawyers into the Firm and the strategic merger with other firms in Spain and other countries.

The international character of the Firm since its founding has permitted Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo to offer legal advice in Argentina, Brazil, China, Germany, Israel, México, Morocco, Portugal, the UK and the USA.

Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo is the first Spanish law firm to have created in Spain an Advisory Board. The members of Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Advisory Board are all distinguished leaders in their field of expertise (Corporations, Universities, Politics, Culture and Communications), which grants the Firm added value of up to date knowledge and allows the Firm to permeate in most sectors of society.

In addition, Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo is to our knowledge the sole firm in Spain to have an Academic Board, made up of reputed university professors of different areas of law, who are always at hand to give the Firm their expert advice and to oversee and participate in the Firm’s training activities.

The first program is the Master in Telecommunications, Internet, and Media Law and Business in cooperation with the General Council of Notaries.

The second program is the Master in Energy Law and Business, in cooperation with the Repsol-YPF Foundation.

The third program is Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Master in Legal Business Management.

And the latest program is the first master in lobbying, namely, the Master in Institutional and Political communication.

In addition to education, the Firm contributes to the advancement of the legal practice through the publication of numerous books and articles related to its main areas of practice.
