CGWG attorneys practice from offices in Little Rock and Fayetteville, Arkansas. From trucking to banking, manufacturing to health care, retailing to hospitality, and many others, for over 20 years and with 250 plus years of cumulative experience, our lawyers intertwine legal expertise with practical hands-on knowledge of business operations to provide our clients with successful and economical strategies and solutions.

Preventive law strategies and exceptional educational programs distinguish CGWG from other Arkansas firms by offering customized training programs that help companies to control costs and concentrate on their core business. CGWG frequently shares its expertise with employers through seminars and management training sessions. CGWG attorneys regularly present Basic Supervisor and Advanced Human Resources Training covering topics such as: Wage and Hour Law; Workers’ Compensation; Sexual Harassment; Discipline, Termination, and Documentation; Retaliation Claims; Immigration Issues; Handbook and Policy Development; and Healthcare issues.

We think it is of the utmost importance for you to know who we are, both internally and externally. Our entire staff knows that the client is our main concern, whether it is in answering the phones personally, returning phone calls promptly, communicating with the client with candor or thinking creatively (we call it thinking outside the box) about a plan of action. Our fields of emphasis are limited enough for us to truly become the best there is. In fact, we’ve been voted one of the top three overall law firms in Arkansas by the state’s business journal, Arkansas Business, and are the largest labor and employment firm in Arkansas, as ranked by Chambers USA. It should also be noted that we are the only Firm on the list of Arkansas’ largest law firms to have female majority ownership – a rare feat in the legal industry as whole, at least as it pertains to larger (non-solo practitioners), established firms.

We practice a team approach to meet client needs. We hope all of our clients truly feel like they are getting our undivided attention when we work for them. We truly believe that the Firm should practice good stewardship and give back to the community by promoting civic and charitable donations of time, talent and money. We try hard to practice what we preach and encourage these efforts from each and every staff member. CGWG believes that the recruitment, employment, and retention of qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds are important. It is CGWG’s belief that its clients receive the highest quality legal services when its legal teams reflect the diversity of our communities.

We also think it is very important for our entire staff to maintain a balance in their personal lives among work, play and rest. Happy staff members work better together and work better for our clients. Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus, P.C. was awarded one of the Arkansas Governor's Family Friendly Employer Awards in both 2006 and 2007 and has been honored every year since 2012 with the Alfred P. Sloan Award for Excellence in Workplace Effectiveness and Flexibility for its use of flexibility as an effective workplace strategy to increase business and employee success. The Firm was also one of nine national entities to earn the American Psychological Association’s 2012 Best Practice Honor at the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Awards (PHWA) ceremony in Washington, D.C., on March, 10, 2012. In 2011, CGWG was honored with the Psychologically Healthy Workplace Award, also in Washington, D.C., after receiving the PHWA from the Arkansas Psychological Association. The national award program recognizes organizations that make a commitment to programs and policies that foster employee health and well-being, while enhancing organizational performance and productivity. CGWG was one of only eight employers from across North America to receive the award in 2011.
