Overview
The firm's senior partner, Tyler Thompson, is committed to the ideal of securing justice for victims of accident injuries and medical negligence. In 2003, Mr. Thompson was the youngest attorney to receive the Peter Perlman Outstanding Trial Lawyer Award. This prestigious award, named for the past president of the American Trial Lawyers Association, is given annually to an attorney who has demonstrated excellence in trial practice. He is the immediate past President of the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys and lectures frequently to other lawyers about how to handle personal injury claims such as car accidents, truck accidents and medical negligence, as well as how to conduct focus groups to prepare for trials. On two occasions, Mr. Thompson has obtained jury verdicts for accident injury victims in excess of $20,000,000.00.
Liz Shepherd has handled primarily medical negligence cases since she graduated from law school and has been with the firm since 1994. She is on the Board of Governors for the Kentucky Academy of Trial Attorneys. Associate Martin Kinney handled railroad defense and products liability cases for a major personal injury law firm before joining the firm.
