Overview
The Knoxville criminal defense law firm of Whitt, Cooper, Hedrick & Wojcik known as Knox Defense brings together the individual talents of four prominent lawyers with decades of senior-level experience defending the rights of the accused in both state and federal courts. From our conveniently located offices in the heart of downtown Knoxville, we serve clients from all walks of life across East Tennessee. Our defense and appellate representations have been the subject matter of local, state, and national news, and through investigative reporting on television, in print, and on the web.
The collective strengths of our lawyers include our diverse academic backgrounds from outstanding institutions, recognition through peer review at Martindale Hubbell, Best Lawyers in America, and Tennessee Super Lawyers. We hold memberships in and recognition through the American Inns of Court and at both the National and Tennessee Associations of Criminal Defense Lawyers. We are immersed in legal governance at local and state bars, and commonly present and publish for the benefit of the profession. We are admitted to practice in all state courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Tennessee, the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
