Overview

The firm's attorneys provide representation in state and federal trial and appellate courts throughout Utah. Although based in Utah, the firm's reach extends far beyond the state. The patent practice of Magleby Cataxinos & Greenwood generates more work from national and international clients than from within the state. Due to the firm's location and cost structure, its patent prosecution services cost a fraction of that of large west- and east-coast law firms, and its trial lawyers regularly handle cases across the country, with the most experience in New York, California and Texas. The firm has extensive experience representing foreign and international clients in both patent prosecution and litigation.
Most recently, Magleby Cataxinos & Greenwood, had a Utah Court affirm a verdict of over $122 million for the firm's client, USA Power. The award was one of the largest jury awards in Utah history. Magleby Cataxinos & Greenwood also obtained a multimillion-dollar damages award for its client, Mark Haug, after a two-week jury trial. Magleby & Greenwood, P.C. also obtained a multimillion-dollar damages award for its client, ClearOne Communications, Inc., after a two-and-a-half-week jury trial. With a reputation in the Utah legal community as assertive and effective trial lawyers, the attorneys are often able to resolve matters quickly, and to their clients' benefit, during pretrial negotiations. If resolution cannot be reached, Magleby Cataxinos & Greenwood is prepared to go to trial.
Attorneys at the firm have been repeatedly selected as Super Lawyers® over the years, including in the Mountain States Super Lawyers® & Rising Stars edition, which provides a listing of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
