It is a mid-size firm in lawyer count and cost, but not in talent - they can (and do) stand tall against any of the "white shoe" firms. The litigation and leasing groups are extremely responsive, as well as creative, clear, expedient, and concise in their recommendations, advice, and counsel. They aggressively (but not obnoxiously) pursue the desired objective and results, but with an eye towards pragmatism and cost-effectiveness, which generally is (and has been) to the client's benefit.

I first worked with Olshan and Steve Wolosky specifically in the early '90s. Steve and his firm helped our company with a public offering. Steve, besides being a great lawyer, is smart, hardworking, responsive and has a nice personal touch. I had not spoken with Steve in several years when I called in 2011 to help with the sale of our company. We picked up right where we left off and Steve, Mike Neidell and the rest of the firm again did an outstanding job with our transaction. Firebirds was a relatively small deal, and in terms of the way our transaction was handled, you would have thought it was a multibillion-dollar deal. Steve and Mike worked late nights and weekends when needed over the course of several months to ensure that our transaction would get done to our satisfaction and that our best interests would be protected. In addition to the great respect we have for Steve, Mike and the entire firm, it was apparent that the firm representing the buyer, Angelo, Gordon, had similar high regard for Steve, Mike and the firm as well. I wouldn't consider using another firm for a transaction, or any other need for that matter.
