The firm’s roots go back to 1875, when it was founded in New York City. In addition to New York, the firm has offices in Beijing, Boston, Chicago, Hong Kong, London, Los Angeles, Paris, São Paulo and Washington, D.C., as well as Boca Raton and New Orleans.

Corporate: The firm’s corporate lawyers advise clients across the range of sophisticated transactions and in daily business and regulatory matters. Labor & Employment: Proskauer has long been one of the world’s pre-eminent firms for labor and employment law. Its lawyers have played key roles in groundbreaking matters and legislation. Core practices include employee benefits and executive compensation (including ERISA litigation), counseling and training, class action, immigration, international labor and employment, labor-management relations, litigation and arbitration and wage and hour.
Litigation: The firm’s litigators have built a track record of success both inside and outside the courtroom. Health Care: Proskauer takes a multidisciplinary approach to health care law, built on the foundation of its formidable experience and capabilities in the industry. Real Estate: Proskauer represents clients in transactions relating to all areas of the real estate business. In addition to traditional real estate work, the firm has practices in private equity real estate; real estate capital markets; real estate litigation; and real estate finance.
Tax: Within its broad tax capabilities, the firm focuses on the tax aspects of investment funds, transactions and tax-exempt organizations, as well as those of employee benefits and executive compensation.
Private Client Services: The firm’s private client services team — one of the largest of its kind — handles estate planning; estate and trust administration; charitable gift planning; fiduciary litigation; and serves as outside counsel to financial institutions and pension plans.
