Founded in 1969, RITTERSHAUS Rechtsanwälte is an independent law firm with currently 90 lawyers of which 12 are also qualified as mediators and 3 are also qualified as civil notaries. We advise both national and international clients on all areas of German business law and assist them in setting up or acquire and maintain their respective business enterprises. RITTERSHAUS has three offices located in Germany’s key business centres Mannheim, Frankfurt and Munich.

Our legal practice focuses on Corporate/M&A (including private equity, venture capital and corporate finance), commercial law, antitrust and competition law, capital markets & financial services, private clients & entrepreneur families, employment law, IP law (including patent law and patent litigation), IT law (with a particular focus on data protection and privacy issues), public law and regulatory law (with a focus on environmental law, public planning and construction law as well as PPP structures), life sciences & pharmaceutical law as well as Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). Our tax consultancy firm RITTERSHAUS Steuerberatungs GmbH completes the comprehensive range of services we provide to our clients.

Many of our lawyers have received legal training abroad, hold international law degrees and/or have work experience in international law firms so that they are perfectly positioned to assist clients in international business transactions. We provide legal services in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish and Chinese (Mandarin).

We have built up a powerful international network and several international desks (China Desk, Italian Desk, French Desk, Spanish & Latin America Desk). We are a member of LEGALINK, a global network of over 60 independent law firms in more than 50 countries with members from the world’s main commercial centres. Therefore, we are able to assist German clients with international projects and also to advise foreign clients who are commercially active in Germany.
