Since our founding in 2009, our attorneys have secured the payment of nearly $22 million dollars to the families of New York State Retirees, fought to assure victim’s rights were secured in litigation claims and defended individuals and entities subjected to unjust claims for compensation. We handle all phases of litigation including mediation, arbitration, trials and appeals and advise clients in all corporate and personal legal matters.
Our principal has been named to the Upstate New York Super Lawyers list (top 5% of attorneys based upon peer reviews and other criteria) as one of the top attorneys in Upstate New York for nine consecutive years (2010-2019). James T. Towne, Jr. also appeared on the 2016 list of the Top 25 Hudson Valley Lawyers; this was Mr. Towne’s third appearance.

About Our Clients
Over the course of the last several decades, members of the Firm have worked with a variety of private and public agencies, including a number of towns, cities, villages, counties, school districts, community colleges, planning boards and community action groups in an advisory role. Not only have we worked closely with such organizations and their respective governing bodies, but also with their various internal departments to assist in dealing with a host of issues in and out of state and federal courts and the Public Employment Relations Board (PERB). We have strategized to avoid grievances, litigation and PERB filings through negotiations and proper training and various types of preventative strategies.
