Ahmad, Zavitsanos & Mensing or AZA, is home to true courtroom lawyers who provide clients with a formidable track record in complex commercial litigation including energy, trade secret, intellectual property, construction, and business dispute cases.
AZA earned a coveted rating for its work in Texas commercial litigation in the 2014 -2021 editions of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, published by Chambers and Partners which is recognized worldwide for its prestigious guides to the legal profession. AZA was named First-Tier in Commercial Litigation in Houston by U.S. News & World Report and The Best Lawyers in America in their rankings of the nation’s Best Law Firms. Likewise, AZA was named a Recognized Firm by Benchmark Litigation—the definitive guide to America’s leading litigation firms and attorneys.
In 2015, AZA was recognized as one of only 10 boutique firms nationally by Law360 for successfully challenging the nation’s biggest law firms. The list of Top 10 Boutiques includes firms that are on par with the biggest firms but less expensive and more accessible to clients. Likewise, AZA was named among the “Most Feared Law Firms” by corporate counsel at major U.S. companies, as surveyed by the leading legal research group BTI Consulting. The 40 firms across the country on the 2015 list were chosen on the basis of extensive interviews with 300 general counsel and in-house litigation counsel at top-spending companies and organizations. In addition, AZA was chosen the 2015 and 2019 Litigation Department of the Year by the publishers of Texas Lawyer newspaper. The annual honor recognizes the Texas-based litigation firms that have excelled during the previous year based on courtroom results. Just three general firms are chosen statewide for having the top litigation departments. AZA, a powerhouse with fewer than 40 lawyers, claimed the top spot in the small-firm category.
Dedication to clients, coupled with the ability to prevail in the courtroom before judges and juries alike, is why so many general counsel across the U.S. know AZA. It’s also why corporate counsel have named AZA one of the law firms with the best client service of those serving the Fortune 1000. In fact, AZA has been hired on many occasions by the same companies the firm has prevailed against at trial.

Barton LLP, a law firm with offices in New York, California, Tennessee, and Virginia is comprised of an elite team of former partners of “Big Law” who have joined together to create a progressive law firm. To us, legal services are business services, and our attorneys and staff are business-people serving business clients to advance their business goals.
Our mission is to provide our sophisticated corporate, financial services, investment fund and entrepreneurial clients with the highest quality legal services delivered in an effective and efficient manner. We accomplish this because we are an organization that does not follow the traditional multi-layered and leveraged law firm model. We believe that a better product, value and client experience is achieved by providing our clients with highly skilled senior attorneys who work directly on their matters with appropriate support from a strong, but lean team of associate attorneys and staff.
We are committed to developing long-term relationships by partnering with our clients so that we thoroughly understand their organizations, objectives and long-term goals. We offer in-house training programs to our clients and take a proactive approach to reviewing clients’ business practices, contracts and relationships to avoid or reduce the incidents of litigation and risk whenever possible.
Our firm structure and experience allows us to offer a wide array of alternative fee arrangements. We understand that hourly billing is frequently not in our client’s best interest, nor does it necessarily represent the value of our services. Our clients provide their goods and services in a competitive marketplace, and yet they rarely, if ever, use an hourly based pricing model. We know that clients have to manage their resources and create efficiencies to stay within budget – and they want lawyers who are able to do the same.
We focus on business litigation and labor and employment.
We are experienced litigators and counselors, helping our clients as business partners to resolve issues and develop strategies that best meet our clients’ legal and business needs – before, during, and after litigation.
We are widely recognized for our work handling trade secret and noncompete matters.
CM Law, formerly known as Culhane Meadows, was founded in 2013 through a visionary alliance of four attorneys who came together to build a different kind of law firm. The founding attorneys had collaborated for more than 15 years at several prominent national firms and shared a common vision: create a firm built around exceptional legal talent, strong client relationships, and a more efficient approach to delivering legal services.
From the beginning, CM Law was designed to challenge the traditional law firm model and focus resources where they matter most—on clients and their legal needs.
How is CM Law different from the traditional law firm model?
CM Law was founded on the belief that clients should not have to pay for the high overhead and inefficiencies traditionally associated with large law firms.
We leverage emerging technology and innovative ways of working to deliver sophisticated legal services efficiently, while avoiding unnecessary expenses such as extravagant office space, excessive support staff, elaborate artwork, marble columns, and other overhead that does not add value to the client experience.
Our approach allows us to remain focused on what matters most: providing high-quality legal counsel, responsive service, and meaningful value to our clients.
What does it mean to be a Client Minded Advocate® at CM Law?
At CM Law, we recognize that every legal matter exists within a larger business context. Whether a client is a growing business or a sophisticated in-house legal department, legal issues are often connected to broader objectives—including market demands, financial considerations, regulatory requirements, organizational culture, diversity and inclusion, and social or marketing goals.
That is why our attorneys approach each matter with an understanding of the client’s bigger picture. Rather than viewing a legal issue in isolation, we work to understand the business objectives behind it and develop practical strategies that help our clients achieve those goals.
How does CM Law bring together the right legal talent for its clients?
We cultivate cross-disciplinary, client-centered teams of attorneys with extensive legal experience and real-world business knowledge. By drawing on the collective capabilities of attorneys across practices and industries, we can assemble teams that are tailored to the specific needs of each client and matter.
This collaborative approach allows our clients to benefit from the depth and breadth of a full-service national law firm while maintaining the personalized attention and responsiveness they expect from their trusted legal advisors.
What role does inclusion play at CM Law?
Inclusion is fundamental to who we are—not simply concepts we discuss, but principles reflected in the way our firm is structured and operated.
As the largest national, full-service, women-owned and managed law firm in the United States, CM Law is proud to demonstrate its commitment through action. Our demographics and growth tell an important part of that story, as does our unique, objective, and fully transparent compensation system.
We believe meaningful inclusion requires more than statements or initiatives. It requires creating an environment where talented attorneys have opportunities to succeed, contribute, lead, and be recognized for the value they bring to the firm and our clients.
What makes CM Law’s approach successful?
Ultimately, our success is driven by our people and our commitment to our clients. We are privileged that so many business owners and in-house legal departments trust CM Law with their legal needs. That trust is a reflection of the exceptional legal work, responsiveness, business-minded perspective, and personal commitment of our attorneys.
Our model is intentionally designed to put those qualities at the center of the client experience—combining sophisticated legal counsel with efficiency, collaboration, transparency, and a genuine understanding of what our clients are trying to accomplish.
For more information, please visit us at www.cm.lawFounded in 1995, Coppersmith Brockelman is a business law firm in Phoenix with numerous locally and nationally renowned practice areas including commercial litigation, health care, employment, and election and political law. While regularly recognized for expertise, professionalism, leadership, and a commitment to the community, the firm prides itself on retaining a close-knit, humble culture where creativity and a common-sense approach are highly valued.
Managing the complexity of litigation, controlling expenses, and ensuring fair results require the services of a law firm widely known for excellence in service, consistency in results and integrity in the way it renders legal services. These three principles have been the foundation of our success since we were established.
Excellence. At Crivello, Nichols, and Hall, S.C. our clients get more than a promise when they need representation in the courtroom. They get solid performance from a law firm whose members have successfully represented industry, government, insurance companies and individuals for over 60 years. They also receive the services of lawyers with state-of-the-art facilities and who are uniformly recognized by their peers and the judiciary as leaders in the profession.
Consistency. No amount of experience, or even superior ability, is sufficient if the performance of an attorney or law firm is inconsistent. We understand that consistency is the basis for most long-term business relationships. Therefore, whether our clients are coming to us for the first or fiftieth time, they are provided the same level of dedication and performance. Our consistency is evidenced by the growing list of corporate and business clients who have been with us for two, three and even four decades.
Integrity. The integrity of a law firm is the thread that ties together all aspects of the relationship between client and lawyer. Successful legal representation is based as much on the integrity with which the legal services are rendered as on the proficiency of the attorney. Strict adherence to this belief has earned Crivello, Nichols, and Hall, S.C. its reputation as a law firm that deals honestly and fairly with clients, peers and the judiciary.
National Services. Over the years, in response to the needs of our clientele, our firm began to assume a national character. Today, Crivello, Nichols, and Hall manages and directly provides legal services in almost every State in the United States.

We believe that consistent service is as important as the expertise provided. For more than 70 years Dunn Carney has provided exceptional legal services to businesses,
Our founding members worked together for years at one of the largest law firms in Dallas, representing Fortune 500 companies and other high-profile clients in virtually every legal matter under the sun. Together, we felt that we had something new to offer – a different way of doing things. We wanted to find a way to take our big-firm experience and combine it with a personal approach that our clients simply wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. Once we realized that, the next step was to open our own firm together.
How is our approach different?
First, we’re a part of your team. Even within a single practice, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to the law. So, before doing anything else, we work with you to create a set of goals that will form the foundation of our legal strategy. From there, we’re with you through every step of the process. We understand any legal dispute can be stressful and know that effective communication can go a long way toward allaying that. You’ll have questions, and we’ll be there to answer them. Simply put, you’ll be at the center of everything we do.
Second, our team of experienced attorneys prides itself on being more collaborative than most. When we take on a client, you’re not just getting a single lawyer’s experience and insight but the entire firm’s when it’s needed. Not a pile-on, with layers of lawyers, but a smart, efficient approach that means better solutions for you. You’re a part of the family now, so get used to the attention.
We believe that people like working with people they like, and that’s why we put personal service at the forefront of every client relationship. We get to know our clients, talk about family and vacations, and share an occasional bottle of wine. Connections are important to us.
We’re glad you found us, and we know that once you learn a little more about our attorneys and what we can do for you, you’re going to like working with us.

We handle everything from commercial disputes, securities litigation, class actions, environmental, energy, and bankruptcy matters to M&A, real estate, and private equity deals for businesses, institutions, and individuals nationwide. Attorneys routinely try high-stakes cases to verdict, lead complicated chapter 11 restructurings, and close complex transactions. Gibbs & Holmes is Charleston’s longest-standing law firm focused exclusively on labor and employment law. Founded in 1983, the firm was established by principal attorneys Coming Ball Gibbs, Jr. and Allan R. Holmes, who came together after practicing with other Charleston firms. Johnson Jackson PLLC is a law firm dedicated to delivering the full spectrum of legal representation to employers on labor and employment matters. Our attorneys have extensive experience representing a broad variety of employers, ranging from statewide agencies to local governments, from large restaurant chains to independent restaurants, from multi-state retail chains to construction contractors and suppliers, and from large hospital systems to private physicians’ offices. The firm was founded on April 24, 2017, and has 11 labor and employment attorneys. The Shareholders are Kevin Johnson, who has 29 years of employment law experience; Erin Jackson, who has 23 years of employment law experience; and Chris Bentley, who has 17 years of employment law experience. All of the Shareholders have practiced labor and employment law in Tampa for their entire careers. Kevin, Chris, and Erin are Board Certified as Experts by The Florida Bar in Labor and Employment Law. Johnson Jackson is located in Tampa, Florida.
At Johnson Jackson, we focus on employment law. Our attorneys have experience representing a broad spectrum of clients, ranging from large restaurant chains to independent restaurants, from multi-state retail chains to construction contractors and suppliers, from large hospital systems to privately-held physicians’ offices, and from statewide agencies to local governments. We have developed and revised policies for our clients, helped them audit their employment practices, and advised them on how to conduct internal investigations. We have advised our clients on a wide range of matters involving hiring, firing and disciplining employees, executive contracts and severance agreements, disability accommodation, leave management, fitness-for-duty testing, wage-hour compliance, diversity goals, and harassment training. Our familiarity with these issues gives us a strong foundation on which to build solid advice for our clients.
Our attorneys have experience litigating cases in courts across Florida and throughout many other states. Employment cases are often fought in federal court, and our lawyers are intimately familiar with the requirements and expectations of federal-court litigation. In recent years, though, plaintiffs’ lawyers have been making more of an effort to tailor their claims to avoid exposure to a federal forum. When they do, we are equally willing and able to deal with litigation in state-court forums. Although we are proud of our Tampa roots, our geographic footprint spreads far wider. The firm’s lawyers often handle litigation for firm clients in state and federal courts across the country, and have been specially admitted to handle cases in a diverse array of forums ranging from Boston, Massachusetts to Detroit, Michigan to Las Cruces, New Mexico.
Our clients all have the same basic goal: they want to be relieved of the distractions and burdens of litigation in a timely and cost-effective manner. But when you move beyond that simple goal, there are many other considerations that can affect the choices that must be made in litigation. For some clients, cost or publicity considerations may be paramount. For others, defending a particular exemption decision or a particular management freedom may take priority. We make it our business to take those considerations into account and litigate the case the way it needs to be litigated for our client. We strongly believe in early case analysis. Whether the matter is a new EEO charge or a lawsuit that has just been served, we strive to provide our clients with an assessment early in the process of how we assess and plan to deal with the key factors that may affect the result. Those may include, among others: the laws applicable to the case; how our facts fit within those laws; the strengths and weaknesses of our witnesses; the nature of the forum in which it will be heard; the leanings of the judge or other decision-maker; the skill and tendencies of opposing counsel; the goals of the opposing party; the likely intensity/complexity of the litigation; the amount at risk; the organizational implications of settlement versus litigation; and any relevant public-relations concerns. Of course, the fundamentals of any strategy start with making sure that the case is ready for trial. The reality of litigation is that there will be times when even a well-founded, well-argued motion to dismiss or motion for summary judgment will not succeed. When that happens, being prepared to take the case to trial is essential to protecting our clients’ rights.
Our clients hire us because of our reputation. We recognize this is our stock in trade, and we do our best to maintain a reputation for skill and professionalism in every court in which we appear. When we ask judges to rule in our clients’ favor, we need those judges to trust that we are accurately presenting the law and the facts and that our word can be relied upon. Our goal is always to meet and exceed judicial expectations. We want our work to be well-written, well-researched, and fundamentally sound in all respects. Our clients have put their heart and soul into building the reputation of their businesses, and if we are going to serve as their representatives in a court of law, we want our representation of them to live up to those same expectations. Part of professionalism is competence to adjust to the changing technological environment. We recognize that technology has many benefits, but it also carries risks. We are committed to maintaining our technology and our systems in a manner that provides full security for our clients’ communications and the documents they share with us. We will ensure that any vendors who work on our systems are reliable and committed to a high level of security.

Neal Gerber Eisenberg was founded in 1986 by a group of lawyers of widely diverse backgrounds and personalities. Entrepreneurial and independent-minded as individuals, these lawyers were committed to a firm culture and style of practice that encouraged collaboration among colleagues at all levels. Each of the founders brought to the enterprise years of experience in and deep substantive knowledge of specialized areas of law, yet each favored practicing in ways that were broadly interdisciplinary, recognizing the fresh perspectives that approach could bring to every client matter.
The firm has grown and thrived in large part because so many of our clients have been strongly entrepreneurial and individualistic and have seen their own values and outlooks mirrored in us. Our clients appreciate that we do not view their businesses generically, but understand the uniqueness of who they are, what they do, and the legal and practical challenges they may face; that we recognize that a particular strategy or solution for one client may not be suitable for another, even if they operate in similar spheres; and, above all, that we listen. Our goal is to know the client and the client’s business as thoroughly as possible and bring creative insight to every matter. Knowing what makes each client special is what makes us special.
Neal Gerber Eisenberg is one of the largest single-office law firms in the nation. The scope of our practice is both international and domestic and covers a full range of legal services, including transactions of all kinds, litigation, and intellectual property. Our clients include Fortune 100 companies as well as small and mid-sized businesses; public companies as well as private equity firms; established institutions and start-ups. Personalized service to entrepreneurs and high net worth individuals and families is a keystone of our practice. We also are dedicated to improving the life of our community by working with public service organizations and by making legal services available, pro bono, to those who might otherwise lack access to justice.
For 40 years, we’ve succeeded—and helped our clients succeed—by deploying the best legal talent as efficiently as possible, by thinking collaboratively and “outside the box,” and by partnering with our clients to achieve the results they desire. At a time when many law firms see themselves as institutions, Neal Gerber Eisenberg continues to hold that rendering legal services is a person-to-person endeavor.
