• In another case, working on an invalidity opinion, we proposed to the client that we provide a letter stating objective facts in which a U.S. patentee admitted that the claims as issued in the United States were unpatentable over patents not considered by the U.S. patent examiner who issued the case thereby saving our client ten thousand dollars and avoiding an argument that may adversely affect the validity of our client's patent.

Mr. Lanier is the founder of the Christian Trial Lawyers Association, a nonprofit organization whose goal is to create a network of principled attorneys to minister to others through civic-minded endeavors. Mr. Lanier also serves on the board of trustees for the Committee for Economic Development, a group of business and education leaders committed to improving the growth and productivity of the U.S. economy and greater opportunity for all Americans.
