McDonald, Levy & Taylor, PLLC was founded in 1980 by Marty McDonald and Farrell A. Levy. The firm is conveniently located in the western suburbs of Knoxville, Tennessee in the Town of Farragut. McDonald, Levy and Taylor engages in the general practice of law, with an emphasis on civil litigation. Attorneys in the firm practice in all state, federal, trial, and appellate courts, and have represented both plaintiffs and defendants in numerous thoughtful personal injury matters, including products liability and medical malpractice cases. Other areas of practice include  domestic relations, nursing home injuries, wills and estates, elder law, , construction and commercial litigation.

The selection process, which is merit based, involves peer nominations with ballots mailed to 23,000 Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee lawyers, a blue-ribbon panel review and independent research on candidates.  

Mr. Levy is also a member of the Litigation Counsel of America, which is a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. Fellowship in the LCA is highly selective and by invitation only. Fellows are selected based upon effectiveness and accomplishment in litigation, both at the trial and appellate levels, and superior ethical reputation. Additionally, Charles G. Taylor has undertaken the necessary training to be recognized as Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 Listed Mediators.

We are also proud that we employ experienced highly trained legal assistants. Many on our staff have been with the firm for more than twenty years. Our staff includes Certified Legal Assistants who assist the attorneys in preparing cases and communicating with clients.
